AECP Level 2 Final Challenge- Masculine Cards with Altered Project

Hey there!

Ruchi this side and thank you so much for stopping by!

I am back with my Altenew Educator Certification Program (AECP) and this post is all about my attempt at the Level 2 final challenge. It’s a challenge to create 4 masculine cards + altered project.

In this post, which is loaded with lots of creativity and ideas, sharing a few cards inspired by all the classes I’ve joined in level 2. Combined a few techniques and designs in my cards. Hope you like it! 😊

I’ve selected 3 components Color Your Way, Creative Watercolor Media and With a twist from level 1 & level 2 classes. There are many other classes which are my favorites like All About Layering, For The Guys, Clean & Simple Boutique Cards, Easy Ink Blending Techniques, Let It Shine.
In this challenge I’ve played around one family shades inks, layered stamping, creating backgrounds, water coloring with inks, die cutting flowers, heat embossing and many more techniques, learnt in previous classes.
Have a look at my cards…

πŸ’œ Birthday Card πŸ’œ

I’ve started creating this card with one of my favorites stamp set from Altenew Magnolias For Her. Used component water coring with inks from the class- Creative Watercolor Media.

I’ve used Shadow Creak & Hydrangea dye inks. Scribbled them on acrylic block and used watercolor brush. I’ve done some loose water coloring or you can say careless water coloring πŸ˜€ You can watch the coloring process in my Instagram reels.

Die cut all the flowers using the matching die set and started creating the background of the card. Used other elements like different leaves to create background.

I’ve given some depth to my flowers and leaves with color pencils. Arranged them on my card panel and create this beautiful flower cluster πŸŒΈπŸ’œπŸŒΈ Splattered black ink, added sentiment with a strip of glitter cardstock. You can have all the Altenew supplies at the end of this blog post.
Let’s move to my another card.

🀎 Thinking of You Card 🀎

For this card, I’ve created background with inks and different elements of Altenew Coffee Love stamp set. Color Your Day class has so many techniques to play around.

Used my MISTI tool for stamping. I really admire this stamp set for its designs, sentiments and the fonts too. That’s my to go stamp set for masculine cards 🀎🧑🀎

Stamped few images, colored them with Altenew markers, stamped sentiment and adhered all to my card. A perfect card for masculine theme 🫢🏻

Have a look at this next card which is again loaded with flowers 😍

♥️ Anniversary Card ♥️

This card has created with Altenew Winter Rose stamp & die set. This card is a Twist of Modern With Vintage component. I wanted to give this card a vintage look so chose this color combination of gray & white. Added the modern touch with a pop of red. Added sentiment Happy Anniversary from Vintage Roses stamp set.

🧑 Encouragement Card 🧑

This card I started with a doubt in my mind that what if this color combination and gold embossing go wrong πŸ€”… but I know that one can never go wrong with Altenew stamps as they are so versatile, unique and easy to align. Even you don’t need to be pro in layered stamping as the imperfect layering looks good too with Altenew 🀩

This card is inspired by the class With A Twist. Used large images for creating backgrounds and then heat embossed layers. Added sentiment from Altenew  Beautiful Quotes stamp set.

So that’s my Masculine Cards on different theme and now let’s move towards my Altered Item/ Recycled Project.

I’ve altered a wooden tray into a flowery decorative piece for dining, for holding keys, for putting your crafty stuff, or just to put your cards & chocolates in that and gift it 😍✨🌟✨

These are the Altenew products used to alter the wooden tray. This tray I bought from Dollar Tree and was thinking about to color it but then I remembered this Botanical Rhapsody washi tape of Altenew and ideas were floating in my head πŸ’‘πŸ˜ƒ

These are some leftover embossed Persian Motifs flowers of my previous project. That’s the recycled project so thought to use them to decorate the inside of the tray. Placed pattern paper from Altenew Blushing Blooms collection and adhered flowers along with a tag.

These are some step by step pics of adhering washi tape and trust me…. It was super easy!!! 🀩

After placing the washi tape, I’ve colored the images with Altenew markers. That was one satisfying process and they look lively and soft with the touch of colors 😍 I’ve created a quick reel of coloring which you can find on my Instagram 🫢🏻

Enjoyed a lot in altering this wooden tray. I’m gonna try this super quick idea again and I hope you found this interesting too πŸ₯°
