Layered Stamping with Altenew

Hey there!

Ruchi here and thank you so much for stopping by!

I am back to blogging and sharing some projects which I’ve created for Altenew Educator Certification Program (AECP)

In this post, I’m sharing a few cards & bookmarks, created for my Altenew Academy Level 1- All About Layering 4 course. Inspired by all the classes I’ve joined, and sum up a few techniques in my craft. Have a look.

Card- Happy Birthday

For this card, I’ve heat embossed some abstract designs on the card base using a stencil and then distressed it with Mango Smoothie Altenew ink. Adhered layered and fussy cut peonies & leaves. I used foam tape to some flowers to give dimension to my card.
I’m liking the bold yet subtle look of this card 💗💛💗

Altenew Supplies:
🌸 Peony Bouquet stamp
🌸 Persian Motifs stamp
🌸 Inks- Cotton Candy, Peach Perfect, Caramel Toffee, Paper Bag, Mango Smoothie, Green Fields, Jet Black
🌸 Other supplies- foam tape, Dress My Craft- blending brush, brown cardstock & sequins, MUDRA stencil, Wow white embossing powder, versamark embossing ink, Neenah white cardstock, heat gun, and basic cardmaking tools
Card 2- Shades of Blue

For this card, chose big flowers and shades of blue. Picked blue cardstock for my base and did some layered stamping in a faded look. Just wanted to create a background of big flowers so did stamping imperfectly. Competed for the look by adding a sentiment on a white stripe.

Altenew supplies:
💙 Hope stamp
💙 Inks- Desert Night, Dusk, Ocean Waves, Sapphire, Jet Black, Bamboo, Parrot, Olive, Grapevine
💙 Other supplies- Mustard Seed & Wild Honey distress inks, Dress My Craft sequins, blue cardstock

Card 3- You Are

For this card, I’ve created the background on pink cardstock with sentiments. Adhered layered and fussy cut peonies & leaves. I used foam tape for some flowers to give dimension to my card.
Really liked this idea of sentimental background 💡 Surely gonna create a video tutorial of the same in the coming days so keep an eye on my YouTube Channel 😊

So back to my post...here are my bookmarks..

I used Strathmore watercolor paper and stamped these florals using Varsafine black ink. Watercoloring done by using Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers.
Sentiments are from Altenew- You Are stamp set. Added rivets on the top using my WRMK Crop-a-dile tool. Then added Baker Twines with these super cute stoned butterflies. :)
Here are some individual pics of my BMs..

Bookmarks Blast!!

Hey there...
Today sharing some bookmarks which I made with my new buy Altenew- Garden Grow stamp set. Here are they..

I used Strathmore paper for these and watercolored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. Wanted to try sunrise and sunset colors of the sky so colored the BG keeping those colors in my mind. Hope I did justice to the shades. :)

After finishing my coloring I stamped some quotes vertically from TheTon-Timeless Icons Sentiment stamp set. Didn't want to add strings on top of these bookmarks as strings were not going well with these...but as I asked my friends, and most of them like BMs with strings or any stopper kinda thing so I glued these mulberry roses on the top of my BMs..... Satisfied me...;-)
Here are separate pics of my BMs..

Bookmarks blast!!

Hey there..
Today sharing some bookmarks which I was making from past few days. It's a picture heavy post as I mesmerized with my own creation and clicked so many pics of them..lol :D
Here is first picture of my colorful bookmarks...

I used my Altenew-'Hennah Elements' stamp set for this. Bought this stamp set few days ago and that's my first creation with this set. I didn't use the whole set in this..used only 2 flowers (big n small) and one leaf stamp for my BMs.

First I stamped all the flowers on Neenah Solar White CS with Varsafine black ink and started coloring with Zig Brush Markers, Fabercastell watercolor pencils and my new buy Staedtler-Triplus Fineliner .3mm pens. These pens are water based and great for doodling and coloring.

I did some hennah doodling on flowers with those fine tip pens after coloring. Fussy cut all the stamped flowers and added glitter on the edges and center.

All the leaves have colored with Zig brush markers and added glitter on them too. Adhered leaves on the back side of big flowers and added Baker Twines. Glued half pearls on the small flowers and attached them on the other side of the BT.

Hope you have enjoyed this picture post of my bookmarks. Leave some love here..would love to read.. :)
That's it for today..TIA!!

Happy crafting!!
